Clem Frederick
Clem is married to Marie and was born in Dominica. From the beginning he enjoyed the outdoor life,
working with his hands, predominantly as a farmer and later as an apprentice mason.
The essence of his creative style stems from a very earthy upbringing in Dominica.
However, another important influence on his work came from a period spent in Normandy assisting a renowned French photographer in the restoration of historic properties. The result is that Clem has become a formidable stone mason and inventive carpenter - his work, remarkably individual, unusual, and always incorporating a raw sense of artistry and the 'surreal'.

On the following page you can see photographs of some of his creations.
